All birds sold from Morris Aviaries (birds from Sanctuary are not guaranteed) come with a 3-day period of guarantee as to the health status for the buyer. I agree to replace the bird or give a full refund on the purchase price of the bird if it is proven to not be healthy following the sale. Due to conditions that will be beyond our control, I cannot guarantee the birds beyond this 3 day period.
EXCEPTION:
**The only exception to this time frame will be if there is a pre-arranged veterinarian appointment with an Avian Vet that is scheduled (with notification provided to Morris Aviaries) and through fault of the airlines or Morris Aviaries a flight date cannot be made to accommodate the three day period for vet appointment.
Should this occur, an extended period will be agreed upon mutually through buyer and seller before the bird is shipped. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES will any guarantee extend past 7 days without the bird being seen by an Avian Veterinarian.**
The health status of your bird must be confirmed by having your bird examined by a qualified and licensed Avian Veterinarian within 3 days of receiving the bird. Your warranty will be void if the leg band is removed or if you do not take your bird to an avian vet.
If a bird should die, it must be submitted to an avian veterinarian for a necropsy and histology within 24 hours of death. It must be kept refrigerated and not frozen. We are not responsible for air-freight charges or veterinary charges after birds leave our home.
If, within one year of the date of purchase, examination by an avian veterinarian indicates that your bird has developed serious problems, or died because of a congenital or hereditary defect, you are guaranteed a full refund, or a replacement bird. This will be the choice of Morris Aviaries, should the situation arise.
Morris Aviaries does not normally sell unweaned birds. By completely weaning our babies, we can then completely guarantee their health.
All birds are weaned to a pellet-based diet that includes vegetables, fruits and Higgins Mayan Celestial Mix. As the norm, we DO NOT tube feed babies or "Power Feed", unless a medical condition requires it.
All birds are raised in a loving environment with lots of activity (dogs and children included). They are placed in the center of our home while going through the weaning process.
We do accept deposits for future babies and/or eggs. This deposit is refundable until the egg for that species is laid.
Once the egg is laid for the species you requested, your deposit is no longer refundable. This is due to the fact that if you have reserved a baby, we will be telling other interested families that the requested bird has already been sold.
Your deposit will be refunded if we are unable to produce the baby you request. Your deposit is also transferable to another species or mutation if requested by you before the originally requested bird hatches.
** Payment methods accepted are postal money order,cash, credit cards and echecks or website Gift Certificate only.
Please do not try to pay with a personal check or other form of payment.
