Formula One - see the difference yourself!
Here is a new product by Avi-Tech that will absolutely AMAZE you!
I gave it a try by supplementing my regular hand-feeding formula with Formula-One and the results were astonishing.
My babies that were fed with Formula-One were approximately 33% larger than the ones without it.

Give it a try, after all - what have you got to lose?

     Do you sell unweaned birds?
Absolutely NOT! I make certain that they are fully weaned before I send them out to their new families. Morris Aviaries takes pride in the quality pet that I provide and feel it is my duty to make certain that they are sound and in good health with a great start before they leave my care.

     When do they wean?
All species wean at different times and even birds from the same clutch will wean at different times. I do not "force wean" (make them wean by a set date) all of my babies are "abundance weaned" (wean at their own pace). generally, I have them completely weaned for 1 week before I allow them to leave. This way I know they are doing great and are not having any problems with their new diet.

     Do you take credit cards?
Yes. I accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express, debit cards and echecks. I also accept POSTAL MONEY ORDERS.

Is it possible to place a deposit on a bird before it hatches?
I do accept deposits for future babies and/or eggs. This deposit is refundable until the egg for that species is laid. Once the egg is laid for the species you requested, your deposit is no longer refundable. This is due to the fact that if you have reserved a baby, I will be telling other interested families that the requested bird has already been sold. Your deposit will be refunded if we are unable to produce the baby you request. Your deposit is also transferable to another species or mutation if requested by you before the originally requested bird hatches.

How is shipping done and what is the amount?
The answer to this depends on how the bird is being shipped. 1) If hand delivering: the location must be within driving distance and then price will be based on the cost of fuel and time taken for travel. 2) If shipping through the airlines: there is a charge of $125.00 for airfare and crate fees + $50.00 fuel charge because of the necessity for us to travel approximately 3 hrs each way to Salt Lake Int'l Airport. The crate the bird is shipped in is modified for the bird's comfort and safety and will also include a sample of the foods that he is weaned to along with fresh fruits and/or veggies for him to eat during the trip.

What are the birds weaned to when they leave?
My birds are weaned to a wide variety of foods to enable their transition to be much easier when you receive them. They are accustomed to Zupreem Fruit Pellets (cockatiel size), Higgins Mayan Celestial Mix, fresh fruits and veggies, as well as pasta.

When do you pull the babies from their parents to hand feed?
All of my babies are well handled and very well socialized before they go to their new homes. I let the parents feed the babies until they are just about 2 weeks old then we pull them from the nest box and hand feed them until they are weaned. This allows the babies to get the much needed "good bacteria" from their parents to help strengthen their immune systems- yet they are pulled before their eyes open so all they ever see raise them are humans. From the time we pull them, they are brought into my home out of the Aviary where they receive one-on-one attention throughout the day and are exposed to household environment and sounds. Sounds such as a vacuum, a television, a doorbell, people talking- all of these that can be very startling for a bird if they are not accustomed to them. They get exposure to children, adults and are even exposed to my 2 dogs that have been raised around birds. The main reasons that birds bite are fear related. By exposing them to all of these noises while they are babies, that they will most likely experience in their new homes we are lessening the chances of that "fear bite" happening. We do not sell birds that are aggressive or "biters". We only sell birds that are easily handled and touched freely by humans.
